Old shack with garage & Fenced area

This model was built board by board and placed on a card stock base for scenery.  The wood had a reddish color and I added weathering chalk.

The photo above shows a ladder,  a dog, a man sitting on a chair and a fenced are on the right.

Above is a photo of the right side

Above shows some of the details in the fenced area.

Above shows some more details in the fenced area.

This model is basically a living quarters and work area.

Old shack and boxcar combined

This model has an old shack with a narrow gauge box car attached for storage use.  The box car is an old model part of which was used for something else.

Most of the details around the shack are commercial parts.  The dolley to the right of the shack door was scratch built.

To the right of the boxcar is a stump.

Under the window are some logs for use in the furnace inside the shack.

Now I need to decide what to build next.

Old crane truck model

I built this crane truck using an old plastic military style truck and a commercial crane part along with various other parts and scraps.

Above is a front view.  There is a ladder on the side and a worker is climbing up the ladder.

Above is a rear view.  You can see the hook on the crane.

Gas station and store combo

This model is a store with gas station pumps in front.  Mt inspiration for this was a 1927 photo on a 1980 calendar of the H. C. Hickerson store.  You can find a similar photo on the internet.  My model is not exactly like the photo.

This model is a combination of commercial parts and scratch built parts.  The gas pumps are a mixture.

The photo above gives a different perspective.

The photo above shows vehicle at the pumps.

Old shack with old truck

This old shack and truck were both scratch built using a few commercial parts.  The shack was built with board by board siding over an internal frame.  The roof shingles  are commercial.  There are two figures,  one inside the door and the other sitting on the ground in front holding a beer and looking like he may be drunk.

Above is a front view.  The shack is attached to a cardboard base with grass and a gravel driveway.

The view above shows one side of the shack with the truck on the gravel.

This shows the other side and rear of the shack.  There is a ladder lying next to the rear of the shack and some logs at the side for the stove inside.

This shows the truck in front of the shack.. The truck was made using word and card board with the wheels and steering wheel being the only commercial parts other the the details loaded on the back of the truck.

Industry model

I built this based on a picture in one of my books but it did not say what it was and I am not sure what it should be.

Most of this model is scratch built.  The large door in the high building is a commercial plastic door and the windows on the small building are commercial parts.  The tar paper on the roofs is plain white paper sprayed gray.

When I decide what this structure is I will apply signs.
